AIUMB president opposes Waqf Amendment Bill: ANI

New Delhi, Mar 20 (ANI): Opposing the Waqf Amendment Bill 2011, All India Ulema and Mashaikh Board (AIUMB) president Mohammad Ashraf Kichhouchhwi on Sunday said that the Waqf board members should resign as they do not believe in the philosophy of ‘waqf’. Kichhouchhwi, who was talking to the media on the sidelines of the ongoing World Sufi Forum at the Ramlila Maidan here, further said that a decision on the bill’s amendment should be reconsidered. More than 200 Indian and international delegates, including Sufi Shuyukh, spiritual leaders, scholars, academicians and masters of Sufism, are participating in the four-day event being organized by AIUMB.
