New Delhi: The people are confused between the real Islam and the post-truth Islam. They are facing difficulties to differentiate the facts from faults and rumors about this particular religion Islam. Now it is generalizing day by day that the terrorists belong to the religion Islam. The question arises, if Islam is a peace-loving religion, then why such terror attacks are being carried out under the banner of Islam. After all, why are the terrorists doing such inhuman acts with the name of Islam? Keeping this sensitive issue in mind, Hazrat Syed Mohd. Ashraf Kichhowchhvi, President of All India Ulama & Mashaikh Board along with Board Executive Body Members Hazrat Syed Tanveer Hashmi, Hazrat Syed Aale Mustafa Pasha Qadri and Haji Syed Salman Chishty met with the Ambassadors of Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Indonesia and Jordan.

During the meet Hazrat Syed Mohd. Ashraf Kichhowchhvi (The founder of the AIUMB) expressed his concern that terrorism is not associated with Islam anyway. Terrorists are using the name of Islam only as a tool of defending themselves. They neither have any connection with Islam nor do they have any knowledge of Islamic education. Now, it should be obligatory on every Muslim to convey the messages of his religion Islam to the people in a proper way.

Muslims should present teachings of Islam by their morality and behavior

Hazrat also added, if someone is circulating rumors and doubtful truth against Islam, as a Muslim we should not be bent on fighting, quarreling and reacting radically, but we should prove him wrong through our morality and good characters, as the same practice has been done by our beloved Sahaba-e-Keram (Companion of Prophet Muhammad PBUH).

People should get accurate and correct information about their respective religions

While taking forward the point on Sufism, Hazrat Syed Mohammad Tanveer Hashmi (AIUMB Karnataka President) extended his words that no religion of the world teaches terrorism, but unfortunately people do not have knowledge about their own religions properly. So, the people should get accurate information first about their respective religions.

He specifically addressed youths and told them that in the post-truth era the responsibility of the youth of every religion doubles to awake the people what their religion actually wants from them.

Terrorism and has nothing to do with Islam

Hazrat Syed Ale Mustafa Pasha Qadri (President of AIUMB Andhra Pradesh) addressed the audience expressing his opinions that terrorism and Islam are two very different things, they cannot be mixed together.

The purpose of Islam is to end oppression and terror but it is very unfortunate that Islam and terrorism are being linked sometimes.

He also said that it is the responsibility of every Muslim to follow the teachings of his Prophet and get complete knowledge of the orders of Almighty Allah.

Can Sufism stop terrorism?

National Joint Secretary of the Board Haji Syed Salman Chishti concluded the session putting the question before audience, Can Sufism stop terrorism? He further explained that the Sufis have fought with extremists in every decade through their good characters and behaviors. Spread the message of love and peace, the teachings of Sufis are the same as that of humanity, Sufis have won the hearts of people with love, not with sword.
